Originally built for our Mercian professional team of the mid 1960s, this has been in our range of frames ever since. With the distinctive 3” spear point bottom bracket lug work which helps to stiffen the frame. The unique bottom bracket is hand made in our workshop, starting as a plain bottom bracket shell, with the spearpoints cut and filed by hand before being welded onto the shell, the joins are then smoothed until invisible. A time consuming process but a very practical and attractive finished frame you won't find anywhere else. Mercian Engraved topeyes on the seat stays.
Built with either threaded or A-head fork column, made to order at no extra cost. Can be built with track dropouts if required
The Professional frame is shown in standard specification with additional bottle cage bosses on the seat tube. Headset and fitting not included in the frame price. The colours are 41 French Blue Enamel main finish, 28 Royal Blue Enamel contrasting head and seat tube band, white lug lining, white Gothic style transfers.
